PRIVACY POLICY
Effective Date: 30 September 2025
This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect information on www.the-holy-bible.online and www.livingwordbibles.com (the “Sites”).
1. Who We Are
Living Word Bibles is the controller of personal information processed on the Sites (unless otherwise stated). We operate both domains listed above.
2. Information We Collect
- Device/usage data: IP address, browser type, device identifiers, pages viewed, and timestamps (for security, analytics, and site performance).
- Cookies & similar tech: We and third parties (e.g., Google) use cookies and similar technologies for analytics and ad delivery/personalization (see §6).
- Contact data: If you email us, subscribe to updates/newsletters, or request support, we collect what you provide (e.g., name, email).
- Affiliate interactions: When you click affiliate links (e.g., Amazon), the third party may set cookies and receive referral information necessary to attribute qualifying purchases.
3. How We Use Your Information
- Operate, maintain, and secure the Sites;
- Measure and improve Site performance and content;
- Serve ads and measure ad performance (including interest-based ads where applicable and permitted)
- Communicate with you (e.g., newsletters, replies to your inquiries);
- Comply with law, prevent fraud, and enforce our Terms.
4. Legal Bases (EEA/UK Visitors)
Where GDPR/UK GDPR applies, our processing is based on: consent (e.g., for certain cookies/ads), legitimate interests (e.g., Site security/analytics), contract (when you request services), and legal obligations. GDPR applies extraterritorially in certain cases (e.g., offering services to people in the EU).
5. Sharing
We share information with:
- Service providers (hosting, analytics, email delivery, advertising);
- Affiliates (between the-holy-bible.online and livingwordbibles.com);
- Legal/Compliance (to comply with law or defend our rights).
We do not sell personal information in the colloquial sense. Where “sale” or “sharing” has a broader legal meaning (e.g., CPRA), see §9 (State privacy notices).
6. Advertising & Analytics (Cookies)
- AdSense & third-party vendors: “Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user’s prior visits.” Google’s advertising cookies enable Google and its partners to serve ads to users based on their visit to your sites and/or other sites. Your privacy choices are described below and in Google’s documentation.
- Publisher Policies: Ad-serving requires compliance with Google Publisher Policies and applicable law.
- Manage ads: You can manage Google ad settings and opt-outs via Google’s Ads Settings and industry opt-out pages (e.g., aboutads.info/choices) and your browser or device settings.
7. Children’s Privacy
The Sites are not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, contact gospel@livingwordbibles.com and we will take appropriate steps, which may include deletion. See the FTC’s COPPA rule for more information.
8. Your Choices
- Cookies/online tracking: Use browser settings to block/clear cookies. You may also use consent banners or opt-out tools where shown.
- Email marketing: You can opt out via the unsubscribe link in our emails or by writing to gospel@livingwordbibles.com. CAN-SPAM requires accurate sender info and honoring opt-outs.
- Do Not Track: Some browsers transmit “DNT” signals. California’s CalOPPA requires disclosure of how we respond to DNT; at this time, we do not respond to DNT signals. We will honor legally required browser-based opt-out preference signals (e.g., in California where applicable).
9. State Privacy Rights (United States)
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, port, and to opt out of certain processing such as sale/sharing or targeted advertising, and to limit use of sensitive information (where applicable). For example, California’s CCPA/CPRA grants consumers specific rights and requires businesses to provide notices and honor opt-out signals. Other states have similar laws.
Residents of Indiana: the Indiana Consumer Data Protection Act takes effect January 1, 2026; we will update our processes as needed before that date.
To exercise rights, email gospel@livingwordbibles.com. We’ll verify your request as required by applicable law.
10. Rights for EEA/UK Residents
Where GDPR/UK GDPR applies, you may have rights to access, rectify, erase, restrict, port, object, and withdraw consent. You may also lodge a complaint with your data protection authority.
11. Data Retention
We keep information only as long as needed for the purposes described here or as required by law, then delete or anonymize it.
12. Security
We use reasonable and appropriate safeguards designed to protect information. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.
13. International Transfers
If we transfer personal information outside your jurisdiction, we will use appropriate safeguards as required by applicable law.
14. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Policy. Material changes will be posted with a new effective date.
